I think you feel about your "girl" like I feel about mine (Maddie)...decorum is not exactly her strong suit, but God she's adorable!! Love her to death, my little soul mate (I spent so much time looking for tall dark and hansome, when all the while she was short fat and fluffy...)

who knew...

; ) haha...

good momentum, D....thanks for the light hearted moment....

H : )

H,
There's something to be said for the short fat and fluffy ones.

Jay, thanks. I couldn't help but notice the time stamp on this one. I'd tell ya to go back to bed, but I have a feeling the little one is taking over the show to a certain extent. Hang in there.

Dan, have you given any thought to what I said once before, about using photos of these treasures to make a calendar, with proceeds going to your favorite charity? I'd buy one in a nanoo second, and I'm sure there are other animal lovers who would as well. It's such an incredible breed with so much personality and character, and obviously photogenic!

Yes, W2W, I have given that some thought. I think it's a great idea. I'm working on some things behind the scenes right now that will enable me to do some of those things more spontaneously. It requires a lot of set up, but once set up, it's a breeze. In addition to the calendar idea, I am going to put together several hardbound photo books. It's actually pretty reasonable nowadays.

I appreciate the suggestion, W2W. When I have a calendar (or book) in hand, I'm gonna send you one...on me.

Ya know, the Spinoni Italiano is an amazing breed. We don't have many around here. Only one other that I know of. I guess Ellen DeGeneras (sp?) did a show a while back in which she named the 5 best dog breeds that no one has ever heard of - the Spinoni topped the list. Of course there are also plenty of great breeds that folks HAVE heard of.

Behind the scenes, eh? Sounds a little dangerous, lol. Put me on the list. I love the calendar idea too! So exciting! Let me know if you need any help, hehe. I've always got an opinion and I would try to be objective :O) Enjoy the process.

Yeah, Carol, what you don't know is that my parents named me Dangerous...but I shortened it to Dan. (that's complete bull) hahaha.

I first saw a spinoli some years back at one of the dog shows on tv, and said that THAT would be my next dog. Well, I bring home too many strays for that to have happened, but, as you know, I can't get enough photos of them! I've been known to come back here just to go back and look for their photo! In fact, I'm not sure that that's not the real reason I keep coming here! (just kidding...)

Ok, clear this up for us, D...is it "Spinoni" or "Spinoli"?

Dan said...

Everything "official" we have says Spinoni, including a book or two. I saw an entry (online) for one of the books I have and the entry says Spinoli, but the book cover says Spinoni. I'm going with the AKC spelling...with an N.

Probly better that way...Spinoli sounds like pasta...

; p

Ok, now I'm REALLY going on that run, think good 10K thoghts at me! ; )

Great to hear from you, Paola. I missed you. I hope you are well.

I have been visiting your blog, but I must admit, I don't understand espaƱol very well. I admire your ability to speak English. I have another friend from Argentina (Javier) who speaks better English than me.

Dan

All the best to you.
