Waldo and the Cone of Shame

Cone

(No, you cannot use that title for the name of your rock band)

Waldo may be the most tolerant hound dog on the planet. He recently had surgery on one of his legs. After his surgery, he wouldn't leave it alone, so our vet gave him the Cone of Shame.

Waldo is an 85-pound puppy (8 months old), so you can imagine how much space he takes up...including his cone head. I kid you not, he's been pulling in radio waves from Alpha Centauri.

Cone head and all, he's the happiest dog I have ever known...and I've had a bunch of dogs in my life. This guy is teaching me a few things about tolerance and unconditional love. No kidding.

Waldo (hopefully) has just a few more days with the cone. He needs to wear it for 10 days. The test will come when he get's his stitches out. If you can leave it alone, um, well, you know the rest...

The poor guy is like a snow plow. He can barely make in down a hallway without plowing into the walls.

"Doug does not like the cone of shame" .... I bet Waldo doesn't either. He's a beautfil puppy though, even in his cone of shame.

We love that movie.

You know my vicarious love affair with your spinolis! He is just too handsome, even with the cone! Our airedale was 80+ when we rescued her, so I can fully imagine how your house must be with two of these rambunctious dogs, especially with the cone! How does the other one like it, or are you having to keep them separated?

Jay, that movie is probably in my ***SQUIRREL!!!*** top ten of all time. I loved everything about it.

W2W, thankfully he doesn't need to wear it 24/7 - just at night or when we are not around. Luci doesn't seem to want to mess with him when he's wearing his satellite dish. He could take out a small town with that thing. Believe it or not (believe it), he accidently turned on the kitchen stove with his cone a couple days ago. Thankfully, I saw him do it. Gas range/cone of shame - not a good combo. Have a great weekend, W2W.
