More Bird Lady

Hey! Looky there! Four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge, right? (um, where's the pear tree?)

haha, I kid, I kid....Truly, Cool shot, Dan...although, she looks like she's about to come after you for royalty rights.

just sayin....

; )

hmmmmm...don't ya wonder what her story is? Were you able to speak with her at all or too much of a language barrier?

(speaking of stories...Any farmer sightings?)

: )

Haha! Hindsfeet, you always seem to find just the right words for each and every situation. It's a gift. Does your last name happen to be Tolstoy, Twain, or Dickinson?

Haha! No farmer sightings. I'm sad about that...but on the first Indian-summer day, I'm out to be more aggressive with the situation. One thing I am particularly good at is pushing my nose where it doesn't belong. :) I figure the worst I can get is a "no". Although...I tamed that some in the Ukraine. The worst I could get there is a Russian gulag.

And no, I couldn't speak a word, nor could she. The Russian/Ukrainian language has NO similarities to ANYTHING I've ever seen. I couldn't fake it. As I sometimes do, I slipped her the equivalent of a couple bucks for her time and consideration. She seemed to understand that. :)

hahahaha, yep, the universal language, sweet moolah ; ) ...too funny, Dan...And definitely preferable to the Gulag scenario, yikes!!!

Well, glad you're on this side of the pond defrosting now...After all those "single digit" days over there, you're probly happy for a California Christmas!

Hope it's a merry one : )

p.s. ...but in case you're feeling a "White-Christmas-Deficit", you can borrow some o' mine...uploaded a pic of our snow on my other site in my post, "Fattening Flakes":

Hindsfeet, I actually live in Michigan. You may have thought California as I was in San Diego on assignment a couple months ago. I've lived in the midwest my entire life - Minnesota and Michigan. And it's colder than a well-diggers a** here. ;)

hahahahaha : D , Dan, that is SO funny! I haven't heard that expression since my Grandfather passed away when I was a kid... He used to say, "it's colder than a coal miner's a** in the Klondikes!!" haha, funny, that brought back some memories!

So you're a Michigan guy! Jeez, then my snow is kid stuff to you! I'm over here in Virginia...We get those nice Currier & Ives snows...The kind that fall, stay pretty for a couple o' days, then go away shoveling, no could do worse! : ) It's so pretty around here!

Well, stay warm in your neck o' da woods then! Guess you don't need any help with that White Christmas after all! ; )
