Dan's 2010 Two Words of Advice

LookUp

I had a lengthy 2009 year in review post that I planned on subjecting you to today, complete with a bunch of photos that illustrated my year in pictures. Upon further review today, I thought it looked like pure crap. It was not even close to what I was thinking or feeling today. Instead I'm going to give you my two words of advice for 2010:

Look up.

Here's hoping that 2010 is your best year ever. All my best to you and yours. Happy New Year, friends.

Great words of advise. Good luck in 2010 and I will drop by every now and then to see your work.

Well, I, for one, wish you would reconsider and publish that post, even if it is crap (in your opinion), because it surely had some nuggets of what you were thinking and feeling about this past year. However, I will accept what you have posted, and tell you thank you for the lovely photo! Could you tell us something about it?

Great Advice! :)

Who/Where are the girls in the picture?

Great minds apparently think alike... I did a 2009 review post just now over on my blog, minus pictures.

and I want to see the post that you didn't post. please, please!

The pressure!!!! Haha!

OK, I'll post what I was going to post in the next day or two. I hope you're not disappointed. It's simply a collage-kind-of-thingy like I posted when my blog became 1-yr-old. Nothing terribly exciting.

I photographed these young ladies in Kiev, Ukraine. This is an outtake from the shoot. I loved the spiritual nature of the scene.

Jay - I can't post my favorite shot from the shoot, because it will likely get used in a campaign. I may surprise you and post it on your FB wall when I can get around to it.

W2W, are you on Facebook?

Happy New Year!

Yes Yes Yes!

Love the blunt honesty here, Dan, Gives your "Two Words" that much more of a punch...not an ounce of pretension...(I could take a lesson! ; ) )(maybe the reason God plunked you in my path? haha ; ) )

Really Dan, good for you not posting something that wasn't flooding from your soul...Truth has an unmistakable ring and people know when you're not speaking from your gut. It falls flat. And feels flat coming out. Better to have artistic integrity and a message without glitz and glamor than having all the glitz and glamor and having it all be a two-dimensional ruse. (Now, be a good friend and copy and paste this paragraph I just wrote and send it back to me. I think I need to read this over a couplafew hundred times! ; ) )

Happy New Year, Dan...
Thankful for going into 2010 with new friends; thankful that one of them is you : )
"H"
p.s. I haven't forgotten the 'unveiling'...stay tuned!

Yes, Dan, I am on Facebook, with a bunch of very boring people.

Hindsfeet, yeah, it just didn't feel right. I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes that kind-of-sort-of applies (at least in my mind)

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds." - Emerson

I'm grateful, too, for new friends. And very grateful that God saw fit to have you slip down my rabbit hole.

Happy New Year, friend.

...and what a Wonderful rabbit hole it is....

Thought you'd dig this, Dan...a little nugget for the New Year...

THAT is a great goal, H.

Wow, what a great shot to illustrate your point! For a long time, when I visted your blog, the photos would not appear, but today, here they are! Now I will make more comments...

I'm glad your PC is seeing images again, Joy. Isn't it funny how that happens??? Computers - can't live with them, can't live without them!
