Wheat Harvest

Have you been riding around shooting in South Alabama?

I LOVE THIS!! I made it my screen-saver.

This is almost an exact replica of my backyard when I was growing up...
in a tiny little town called Rutledge, AL (you won't be able to find it on a map).

Before they scatter the bails across the field, they line them up side by side until they need them. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of my nephews and I jumping from hay Bail to hay bail (and if you were REALLY good, you could jump an entire bail)... Ah, the good ole days!

Oh my, did I just show my Southern Roots?

...and I didn't even talk about riding four-wheelers through huge mud puddles or swinging off of a rope into a creek.

That's a great childhood story, Jay. Those are the kinds of things I remember about my childhood, too.

No this scene is not in S. Alabama. :) -- it's in central MI about 5 miles from our home. In fact, our back yard is similar, but this year it's a soybean field. I love being able to look out over hundreds of acres of farm land. It's very serene...and I need some serene in my life.

Have a great day, Jay.
